Marine General Superintendent

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Marine General Superintendent to provide overall field leadership for complex marine and heavy civil construction projects throughout South Carolina and the Southeast. This is a high-impact leadership position responsible for directing field operations, supervising project superintendents and crews, maintaining safety and quality standards, and ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Ideal Background

• 5+ years of construction experience, with significant field leadership experience
• Previous experience as a General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, Marine Superintendent, or similar leadership role
• Strong background in marine, heavy civil, waterfront, dredging, pile driving, concrete, bridge, port, or coastal construction
• Experience managing multiple superintendents and large field teams
• Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, scheduling, and field operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contracts
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven ability to manage complex projects and resolve field issues
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training preferred
• Ability to travel throughout South Carolina and the Southeast as project needs require
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required with substantial experience

Pay

$120,000 – $165,000 per year
