Marine Electric Techncian

About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Marine Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge and experience working with electrical systems in Tugs/Barges. This role requires a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Troubleshooting electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and calipers.
• Assembling and installing electrical devices according to specifications.
• Providing exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their electrical needs.
• Performing maintenance for Tug and Barge service to ensure reliability on job sites.
• Collaborating with other tradespeople and service technicians to complete projects efficiently.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Electrician or in a similar role.
• Strong marine electrical knowledge with the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
• Experience working with VFD.
• Willingness to travel for work if needed.
• Must be able to work overtime.
• Must have a valid TWIC card or be able to apply for one.
• Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions.
