About the role
This position is responsible for preparing kits of wire and components necessary for harness assembly. Execute duties with a high degree of quality, with few defects and within the labor time requirements for the harnesses being assembled.
Responsibilities
- Understands and demonstrates safety as priority in all work-related activities.
- Maintains standards of a clean and organized work environment.
- Pre-plugs and/or sub-assembles components (wire and hardware) in accordance with drawings.
- Capable of interpreting tickets, work orders, and shop orders to ensure correct outcome is achieved.
- Capable of identifying defective product presented to the work-cell as well as the outcomes of the work-cell.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma and/or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to solve practical problems and come up with reasonable solution.
