About the role
The Marina Yard Hand/Equipment Operator is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations within the marine yard, including handling equipment and performing various maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain all yard equipment and machinery
- Maintain yard cleanliness and safety standards
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on yard equipment
- Coordinate with other departments for project needs
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of related experience in a similar role
- Valid driver’s license
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Qualifications
- Proficiency in using yard equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
Skills
- Knowledge of marine yard operations
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- First aid certification (preferred)
