About the role
The Restaurant Host at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis greets and seats guests, coordinates reservations, responds to inquiries, and anticipates guest needs to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with Four Seasons' policies.
Responsibilities
- Seat guests promptly and according to guest preference
- Set up host/hostess stand, review reservation book, and make recommendations
- Maintain station chart and cover count to meet Four Seasons Service standards
- Answer telephones and take guest reservations or provide information
- Anticipate and respond to guest needs, recognizing regular guests by name
- Inspect and maintain daily menus, developing a working knowledge of menu items
- Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors
Requirements
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Six to twelve months of restaurant, food and beverage, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of Four Seasons services, policies, or operations and general knowledge of the hotel
- Ability to operate computer equipment and the reservations system
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
