About the role

Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, delivering fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world. We are looking for talented technicians to help full-scale production of the Leo satellites. Responsibilities

  • Champion safety requirements in all designated zones and work locations
  • Assemble and test with emphasis to detail, an assortment of avionic LRUs, electrical-mechanical assemblies, handle and install fiber-optics, and PCBAs
  • Ensure lab equipment is maintained and calibrated
  • Support some preventative maintenance activities on test equipment and data acquisition systems
  • Identify equipment requirements, process improvements, maintain floor stock inventory
  • Independently execute and prioritize work to meet company deliverables
  • Execute test procedures for component and system level testing maintenance
  • Receive shipments and coordinate deliveries with recipients (using pallet jacks, kit carts, etc.)
  • Contribute to improving SOPs and safety procedures

Additional requirements

  • Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts), overtime and weekends as needed
  • Estimated shift time is 4x10, 6am–4:30pm, Wed–Sat
  • Flexible working/commuting between site locations
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted

Basic qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years in a high traceability manufacturing environment, or relevant trade school certification
  • 1+ years using hand tools and/or precision measuring instruments (i.e., calipers, multi-meters, torque wrenches)
  • 1+ years working with test tools and test methods that adequately validate the system
  • Experience reading, interpreting and working from engineering documentation and/or drawings

Preferred qualifications

  • Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P) certification/license
  • CFOT certification or equivalent experience
  • Airman or Avionic certification or equivalent experience
  • ASE certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • Experience working with FOD, ESD sensitive hardware and clean room requirements
  • Experience working with Electro-Mechanical Assembly, Final Integration, Fiber Optics/Optical and/or Harness Integration
  • Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities while working in a high-paced, challenging work environment

Some tasks you may be an individual contributor, but may also work in a group environment to achieve organizational goals. This group of Technicians thrived in success by working as a team. We are currently in research and development but moving towards production environment.

Pay

The starting pay for this role in Washington State is up to $33.50/hour and employees are eligible for incremental raises based on tenure.

Schedule

Estimated shift time is 4x10, 6am–4:30pm, Wed–Sat. Willing to work all shifts (days, evenings, staggered shifts), overtime and weekends as needed.
