Manufacturing Test Technician
About the role
Reporting to the Engineering leadership team, the Engineering Technician / Manufacturing Test Technician will play a key role in supporting product development, testing, and manufacturing operations at Wave Central, a leader in integrated wireless video and broadcast solutions.
This role is responsible for ensuring products are properly tested, validated, and prepared for deployment while supporting the transition from engineering development into manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Performing functional testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electronic systems and assemblies.
- Executing manufacturing test procedures to ensure product quality, consistency, and reliability.
- Setting up and operating electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, voltmeters, and power supplies.
- Reading and interpreting electronic schematics and technical documentation to support debugging and validation activities.
- Developing, maintaining, and executing Python-based test scripts and automation tools.
- Supporting Engineering teams with product bring-up, verification, and root cause analysis activities.
- Documenting test procedures, results, and issues clearly while contributing to continuous improvement of test processes and manufacturing readiness.
Requirements
- An Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent hands-on technical experience.
- Experience using electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and power supplies.
- The ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and technical documentation.
- Working knowledge of Python scripting or test automation tools.
- Strong computer skills, including experience working within Linux environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Experience or exposure to RF, embedded systems, manufacturing test processes, or hardware/software integration is considered beneficial.
