Responsibilities
- Courses may include: Manufacturing fundamentals, Industrial safety, Precision measurement and metrology, Blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), Metallurgy, Manual machining, CNC machining and programming, CAD/CAM using Mastercam and SolidWorks, Manufacturing mathematics and calculations.
- Prepare students for careers in aerospace, automotive, advanced manufacturing, and other high-demand industries.
- Many courses also prepare students for National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) certifications.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree and at least two years of professional manufacturing experience OR
- An associate degree and at least six years of professional manufacturing experience.
Qualifications
- Teaching experience is welcome but not required.
- Industry experience is highly valued.
Skills
- Experience in machining, CNC, CAD/CAM, manufacturing engineering, or production.
