First point of contact on production lines, exercising technical and analytical judgment to support a highly automated manufacturing process. Critical contributor in driving efficiency and continuous improvement on the production floor.
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment setup, operation, shutdown, and other associated process steps to meet all standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze and run process and test data; determine necessary actions to achieve desired quality, yield, and efficiency.
- Utilize and understand human-machine interfaces (HMIs), SCADA systems, and Statistical Process Controls (SPC) to identify and correct process shifts.
- Ensure adequate raw material preparation and timely completion of membrane batches for on-time delivery.
- Troubleshoot and identify solutions for mechanical errors, safety issues, or general operating inefficiencies.
- Utilize computer systems for material inventory movement, process transactions, and quality management processes.
- Participate in manufacturing continuous improvement activities, including new product design, process development, and equipment validations.
- Work from specifications, work orders, and SOPs provided by Process Engineers, Development Engineers, and Production Supervisors.
- Safely follow standard operating procedures for material handling, record keeping, process specifications, and PPE compliance.
- Notify Process Engineers and/or Production Supervisors of any discrepancies to maintain quality standards and safety.
- Lead and direct team members with excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, identify, and implement corrective actions.
- Work with R&D to develop and analyze data for new membrane products and improvements to existing membranes.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures.
- Adhere to and promote Entegris PACE Values.
- Maintain a clean work environment following 6S activities.
- Understand and promote Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
- Train and certify other manufacturing operators in process operations using all SOPs.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- 1-year manufacturing experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand documented processes and procedures.
- Good attention to detail; ability to perform basic math computations and computer data entry.
- Ability to use measuring devices and hand tools.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb a ladder up to 4 ft., and walk and stand during the entire shift.
- Ability to repetitively pinch and grasp hand tools, twist, bend, reach upward, and handle all manufacturing materials.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Physical Requirements
- Stand for long periods.
- Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
- Move throughout the department/facility.
- Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities: close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- May require wearing a bunny suit for long periods in a clean room environment.
- Required to wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves; other safety garments or protection may be needed depending on the work area.
- Exposure to metal powders, isopropyl alcohol, and DI water.
Schedule
Wednesday–Friday and every other Saturday.
Pay
Starting range is $22–$26 per hour depending on experience, plus shift differential. Eligible for Entegris annual incentive program.
