Manufacturing Technician III - Day Shift

About the Role

The Manufacturing Technician III reports to a Manufacturing Supervisor and executes all production processes while strictly adhering to cGMP, environmental health and safety guidelines, and other applicable regulations. This role involves participating in departmental projects and quality working teams, overseeing hands-on execution of production activities, and revising or initiating complex procedures. You will troubleshoot process and equipment problems, assist in transferring new technologies, and demonstrate leadership in cGMP compliance and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal training plan to enhance knowledge, skills, and capabilities.
• Troubleshoot process and equipment problems to minimize manufacturing downtime.
• Conduct safety Gemba’s and provide daily coaching on proper ergonomic techniques.
• Support all local manufacturing operations and operate production equipment (e.g., filling, inspection, packaging).
• Complete paperwork following GDP/GMP guidelines.
• Manually clean portable equipment and small parts.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Teams.
• Receive and distribute supplies into the production area.
• Ensure all components for manufacturing are prepped and ready to meet schedule adherence.
• Assemble and operate manufacturing equipment.
• Coordinate with maintenance/metrology groups for preventative maintenance.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic systems (e.g., EBM, JDE).

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; 4+ years of related work experience, or an AA degree or higher with 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and follow detailed written and oral instructions in English.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Understanding of cGMP regulations.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical production equipment (e.g., autoclave, DP oven, CIP/SIP).
• Proficiency in mathematical disciplines and ability to work with metric and USA measurement standards.
• Knowledge of basic chemical and biological safety procedures.

Important Considerations

• Work in a controlled environment requiring special gowning (e.g., protective clothing over head, face, hands, feet, and body, including hearing protection in loud areas).
• Remove all makeup, jewelry, contact lenses, nail polish, and/or artificial fingernails while in the manufacturing environment.
• Work in cold, wet environments and around chemicals (e.g., alcohol, acids, buffers, Celite) that may require respiratory protection.
• Work multiple shifts, including weekends, supplemental hours, and non-traditional work hours (e.g., weekends, holidays).
• Work a 12-hour shift (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.
• Flexibility to work during off-shift hours or support different shifts as needed.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Physical requirements: carry/lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs (with assistance), stand/walk for extended periods (8–12 hours), and perform bending, twisting, reaching, squatting, and repetitive motions.
• 20/20 near and distance vision (with or without corrective lenses) for roles performing visual inspection; color vision required (no colorblindness).

Pay

U.S. hourly wage range: $21.59 – $33.90. The actual hourly wage offered may depend on qualifications, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position.
• 12-hour shifts (5:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.
• May include weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
