This role involves production of POROS chromatography resin and providing assistance to maintenance and distribution as needed. You will encounter recurring work situations with minimal complexity and occasional variations, working under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities

  • Perform duties within corporate EH&S Standards, emphasizing safety and quality.
  • Operate various process equipment including reactors, pressure filters, pumps, filling, labeling, and packaging equipment according to written SOPs and UOPs in a large-scale, chemical batch manufacturing process.
  • Carry out unit operations such as equipment changeovers with Lock Out Tag Out and Confined Space protocols, Elutriation processes, finished product discharges, R-Bead polymerization, and Bead Coating processes.
  • Train new employees on basic and beginner tasks as needed.
  • Maintain batch and equipment records per department’s ISO13485 standards and Good Documentation practices with a focus on quality.
  • Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities, including cleaning tasks within the work center.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of manufacturing, laboratory, or related field experience.
  • 1 year of experience with chemicals or biotech preferred.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment, use of Delta V, and/or SAP is desirable.
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret data, perform basic calculations, and troubleshoot.
  • Ability to stand for 80% of the shift, move approximately 40 lbs up one flight of stairs, and push 55-gallon drums on wheeled dollies.
  • Ability to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including work uniform, steel toe shoes, hair net, safety glasses, bump cap, nitrile gloves, and potentially a face shield, respirator, and smock.

Environmental Conditions

  • Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safety Standards.
  • Exposure to loud noises from equipment/machinery.
  • Required use of PPE such as safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.

Schedule

  • 12-hour night shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule (6:00 PM – 6:30 AM).
  • Shift differential: 15%.

Pay

Hourly pay range: $24.00 – $27.00. This position may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance.
