About the role
We're excited to offer a MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN opportunity at our North Kingstown, RI facility. This role supports our 1st shift operations, ensuring products are processed and packaged safely and efficiently to meet production goals.
Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and adjust chemical manufacturing equipment to ensure safe and efficient production.
- Handle and measure raw materials according to specified formulations, following strict safety and quality guidelines.
- Collect samples for QC lab analysis.
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Accurately process production data transactions in ERP system (SAP).
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous material handling procedures.
- Perform equipment cleaning.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, safety programs, and required training to enhance operational knowledge and compliance.
- Adhere to 5S practices to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- No prior experience required, but candidates with experience in a manufacturing or chemical processing environment are preferred and may be considered for higher-level roles.
- Basic math skills, including the ability to perform measurements, conversions, and simple calculations related to production processes.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, SOPs, and safety guidelines in English.
- Communication skills to document production activities, report issues, and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Experience with SAP strongly preferred.
- Fork truck driving experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
