Manufacturing Technician | Electrical
Responsibilities
- Hands-on assembly of electric components (Flight Control Computers, Motor Inverters, Airplane Consoles, etc.)
- Operating production equipment. You will construct, maintain, and test electrical systems and components/assemblies
- Following technical data packages (technical drawings), guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.
- Providing troubleshooting, calibrations or modifications of hardware, fixtures and software.
- Using measuring and diagnostic tools to test and modify systems and components/assemblies.
- Performing in-process quality control inspection tasks, feeling comfortable identifying and raising concerns about process deviations, and being an integral part of any troubleshooting efforts to solve them
- Maintaining accurate and clear manufacturing documentation in compliance with quality systems or regulations. Documentation to include up-to-date assembly process documentation as well as process data (fastener torque, electrical checks, etc.)
- Providing regular productivity reports, and incident reports as needed
- Using all mandated safety equipment and complying with all safety requirements in accordance with company and government regulations and guidelines
- Performing other work-related duties as assigned to meet company goals
Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing setting or a Two-year degree or certificate from an accredited two (2) year college, university, or technical school preferred
- Knowledge of, and ability to apply, the principles of Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement, Lean 5S, and Kanban preferred
- Ability to assist in problem analysis and independent decision-making
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and schematics of electronic components
- High Voltage assembly experience preferred, especially related to DC energy storage systems
- Good team communication skills required
Qualifications
- Aerospace Industry Manufacturing Experience
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical equipment and machines
