About the Role
Eaton’s IS AER MSD division seeks a 2nd shift Maintenance Electrician for their Orchard Park, NY facility. This position involves assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical infrastructure and production/factory equipment. Responsibilities also include fabricating special units for electrical measurement, control, and communication systems.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret maintenance specifications, blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Layout, install, alter, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, communication, and control systems, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical equipment
- Diagnose causes and make system repairs according to appropriate specifications
- Maintain company records as required
- Follow and maintain safety rules and practices
- Perform electrical troubleshooting, including diagnosing and fixing electrical issues within equipment and systems
- Perform regular maintenance to prevent unexpected failures and extend the lifespan of electrical systems
- Knowledge of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations
Requirements
- Completion of relevant trade school or field-related AAS degree
- 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Qualifications
- State Licensed Journeyman (preferred)
- 3-5 years of industrial electrical experience
- 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Working technical knowledge in welding/fabrication, piping systems, electricity, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), process control instrumentation, and process equipment
- Working technical knowledge in personal computing
