Position Overview
Kelly Engineering is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join their client's team to support the fabrication and assembly of custom medium-voltage (MV) switchgear solutions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Fabricate, assemble, and test medium-voltage switchgear and electrical equipment.
- Operate fabrication equipment including press brakes, turret punch presses, copper forming and punching equipment, and other manufacturing machinery.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform electro-mechanical assembly using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
- Support powder coating, finishing, and other production processes as required.
- Perform inspections throughout the manufacturing process to ensure products meet quality and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot assembly and fabrication issues while maintaining production schedules.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Cross-train across multiple manufacturing disciplines to support production demands.
- Adhere to all company safety, quality, and manufacturing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Electro-Mechanical Technology, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline required.
- 3-20 years of experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, electro-mechanical assembly, or industrial production environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and commitment to quality workmanship.
