Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the 1st shift cell line.

$18.40 per hour
Schedule
Core hours: 5:30 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Thursday

Responsibilities
- Assemble, fit, and mount sub-assemblies, components, and standard or near-standard fixed assemblies in Motor Control Centers, Enclosed Control, and related assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Interpret and work from oral/written instructions, shop orders, drawings, inspection reports, manufacturing information sheets, and standard or near-standard wiring diagrams to determine assembly procedures, component types, configurations, mounting locations, and required clearances
- Use manufacturing information sheets to identify required parts, prepare requisitions, obtain materials from stock areas, and assemble, fit, and mount parts, components, sub-assemblies, and completed assemblies
- Assemble, wire, and modify control devices, harnesses, panels, and standard assemblies, including cutting wires to length, making pre-bent cable units, MTB and control panel harnesses, performing wiring changes, and altering hole cutouts using hand or power tools when necessary
- Install and secure units, pan assemblies, cover steel, meters, kirk keys, pull boxes, reactors, relays, fuses, MTB assemblies, panel boards, space heaters, transformers, bus work (including lug adapters, crossover bus, and splices), and other related components by mounting or bolting into place
- Inspect completed work, make adjustments to ensure proper alignment and clearances, identify and mark wires, devices, terminals, harnesses, and panels with required job, unit, and component labeling, and maintain associated records and piece counts
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Must live within 50 miles of the Fayetteville, NC facility (Active-Duty Military Service member candidates exempt from geographical limitation)
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs
- Able to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel
- Able to frequently lift/carry up to 35 pounds
- Able to push/pull up to 35 pounds
- Adequate far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 months previous experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred)
- Previous experience reading schematic drawings/blueprints (preferred)
- Demonstrated comprehension of wiring diagrams and schematics
- Self-driven and able to produce desired results with minimal direction
- Work effectively within a team environment
- Utilize various hand tools to assemble and wire products in a lean environment
