About the role

Tosoh Quartz is a global leader in high-precision silica glass products, serving the semiconductor industry. As a Manufacturing Technician, you will assist in the manufacture of quartz components using various tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Cut glass to the required lengths, cut in bevels, slots or other features, etch off layers to perfect glass and rinse item in acid bath between all steps.
  • Produce and inspect in-process products for quality and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Work in accordance with process procedures, work order instructions, drawings, and other production documents.
  • Perform detail work, which may include waxing, dewaxing, chamfering, acid wash or other cleaning, cosmetic inspection of parts and other similar functions.
  • Maintain equipment.
  • Detect and correct minor machine malfunctions and perform daily and monthly machine maintenance as directed.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area.
  • Wear and use all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) properly and in accordance with manufacturer and OSHA regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Able to accurately follow instructions.
  • Able to lift and extend with arms outstretched, up to 60 lbs. independently, or up to 120 lbs., with assistance.
  • Aptitude for learning; blueprints, machine mathematics and precision measurement equipment.
  • Able to wear all required, Company-provided safety gear during your shift.

Qualifications

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Experience wearing safety equipment during shift.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience.

Schedule

Shift Schedule: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday

Important note

This position works with chemicals (including acid) for up to 50% of the shift. All employees must strictly follow all safety protocols and wear required safety gear at when working with chemicals.
