About the role
The Manufacturing Systems & Business Analytics Analyst is responsible for the administration, optimization, continuous improvement, and day-to-day support of TDI's manufacturing business systems, operational analytics, and enterprise reporting capabilities. This position serves as TDI's primary business systems analyst for Deltek Costpoint, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), manufacturing master data, operational reporting, dashboards, and business intelligence.
Responsibilities
- Serve as TDI's primary business systems analyst for Deltek Costpoint.
- Support ERP implementation, optimization, upgrades, testing, and validation.
- Troubleshoot ERP issues and coordinate solutions with Corporate IT.
- Maintain ERP configuration documentation.
- Evaluate new ERP capabilities and recommend implementation.
- Improve ERP utilization across all departments.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Own and maintain integrity of: Item Master, Engineering Bills of Material (EBOM), Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM), Manufacturing Routings, Work Centers, Warehouse Locations, Units of Measure, Inventory Parameters, Product Structures, Configuration Data.
- Coordinate Engineering Change implementation ensuring revisions are accurately reflected throughout Costpoint.
- Develop executive dashboards and operational reports supporting: Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Inventory, Production, Supply Chain, Engineering, Program Management, Financial Performance.
- Develop reports using: Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, SQL (preferred).
- Develop automated KPI scorecards for all functional departments.
- Develop advanced business tools including: Executive dashboards, Pivot Tables, Power Query automation, Power Pivot models, Dynamic reports, Forecasting models, KPI scorecards, Capacity planning models, Inventory analysis, Cost analysis, Production reporting, Supplier performance dashboards.
- Standardize reporting across the organization.
- Continuously improve: Costpoint utilization, MRP effectiveness, ERP workflows, Master Data quality, Inventory transactions, Production reporting, Barcode implementation, Digital work instructions, Workflow automation, Manufacturing analytics.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate manual processes.
- Establish standards for: Part Number Management, BOM accuracy, Routing integrity, Revision control, Inventory accuracy, User permissions, Data ownership, System documentation.
- Develop governance processes ensuring long-term data integrity.
- Lead improvement initiatives involving: Manufacturing workflows, Supply Chain processes, Inventory Management, Production Planning, Engineering Change Management, KPI development, Operational reporting, Automation, Digital transformation.
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain: Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Training Materials, ERP User Guides, Business Process Maps, System Documentation.
- Provide role-based training for Costpoint users.
- Primary ownership or administration support for: Deltek Costpoint ERP, Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP), Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Power Query, Microsoft Power Pivot, Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Barcode Scanning Systems, Future Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), Manufacturing Reporting Database, TIPQA integration support.
- Own or support: Master Data Governance, Manufacturing Reporting, Business Analytics, KPI Development, Dashboard Management, ERP User Support, Manufacturing Systems Administration, BOM Governance, Routing Governance, Engineering Change Process, System Documentation, ERP Training, Workflow Automation, Continuous Improvement, Digital Manufacturing Initiatives.
- Recommend ERP process improvements.
- Recommend master data corrections.
- Develop and standardize reporting.
- Establish reporting standards.
- Recommend workflow automation.
- Recommend KPI development.
- Recommend ERP enhancements.
- Delay implementation of master data changes that could negatively impact system integrity.
- Recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Works closely with: Director of Operations, Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Manager, Manufacturing Engineering, Product Engineering, Configuration Management, Material Planning, Buyers, Inventory Control, Shipping & Receiving, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Corporate IT, Corporate Costpoint Administrators.
- Required expertise includes: Expert Microsoft Excel skills, Advanced Power Query and Power Pivot, Dashboard development, Business analytics, ERP/MRP systems, Manufacturing processes, Supply Chain fundamentals, Inventory Management, Production Planning, Excellent analytical skills, Process mapping, Project management, Strong written and verbal communication, High attention to detail, Ability to lead change across multiple departments.
- Preferred qualifications include: Deltek Costpoint implementation or administration, Aerospace or Defense industry, Government contract manufacturing, Power BI development, ERP implementation experience, Manufacturing digital transformation experience.
- Combination office and manufacturing environment, frequent interaction with production personnel, occasional travel throughout manufacturing and warehouse areas, ability to sit for extended periods while developing reports and analytics, ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in: Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Operations Management, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting manufacturing ERP/MRP systems.
- Minimum 5 years of advanced Microsoft Excel experience.
- Experience in manufacturing operations.
- Deltek Costpoint implementation or administration.
- Aerospace or Defense industry.
- Government contract manufacturing.
- Power BI development.
- ERP implementation experience.
- Manufacturing digital transformation experience.
