About the role
Under direct supervision, the Manufacturing Support Technician performs duties related to cleaning, swapping, sampling and staging of portable equipment in manufacturing. They are responsible for pre-weighing of raw materials in support of manufacturing. The Support Technician performs daily housekeeping and monthly safety inspections.
Responsibilities
- Cleans portable equipment in the Small Parts Cleaning Facility by setting-up, cleaning, operating, and maintaining equipment; following procedures and documenting actions
- Performs pre-weigh of raw materials to support manufacturing
- Performs monthly safety inspections of the manufacturing building, including operating safety showers and eyewash stations
- Maintains safe and clean work environment by following current good manufacturing practices (cGMP), and standard operating procedures; complying with legal regulations; monitoring environment
- Responsible for general maintenance that includes area cleaning, painting and moving materials as needed
- Ensures equipment remains in operating condition by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; calling for repairs
- Carry out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Ensure appropriate housekeeping and equipment maintenance
- Coordinate the receipt, safe storage, transfer and off-site disposal of recycled material, trash and hazardous waste
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- No experience required
- 1 year of work experience preferred in manufacturing support operations, preferably in a GMP environment
- Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
Physical requirements & work environment
- Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; sit and to talk, hear or smell
- Occasionally required to walk and stoop, or kneel, crouch
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
- Occasionally exposed to various types of chemical substances
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
- Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
- Cleanroom requirements: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed
- Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
- Employee must comply with all applicable safety and security procedures; determine appropriate action beyond guidelines; report potentially unsafe conditions

- Pay Rate: $18.00
- Shift: 1st Monday to Friday 6:30AM to 3:15PM
