About the role

United Holdings Oklahoma City is now hiring a Manufacturing Supplier Quality Control Engineer. The position can be located at either 10000 NW 2nd, Oklahoma City, OK 73127 or 10750 Telge Rd., Houston, TX 77095.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure supplier quality compliance for all sourced materials and components.
  • Develops, coordinates, and supports supplier quality assurance programs.
  • Works closely with suppliers and internal teams to resolve fabrication quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and support strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Lead supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Develop and implement supplier quality metrics and reporting.
  • Collaborate with procurement and engineering to resolve supplier-related quality issues.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with quality and safety standards.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to manage projects, meet deadlines, and work under time constraints.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience with supplier audits and root cause analysis.

Core Competencies

  • Expertise in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100 standards.
  • Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, and Control Plans.
  • Advanced statistical analysis and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Skilled in supplier audits, risk management, and CAPA.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and inspection tools.
  • Proficient in ERP/QMS software and data analytics tools.
  • Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communicator and collaborator across teams.
  • Strong reporting, documentation, and presentation skills.
  • Continuous improvement mindset (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Able to mentor, train, and lead cross-functional projects.

Certifications and Licenses

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent preferred.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to maintain current and thorough knowledge of all applicable processes and equipment is required.

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing, walking, sitting, handling, climbing, crawling, squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 20 lbs. frequently; occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to wear PPE as required.
