Responsibilities
- Meet production requirements, delivering quality products to customers in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Identify, prioritize, and provide resources to assist the department manager in meeting the annual operating plan and budgetary commitments.
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations across a department or multiple departments.
- Emphasize training and implement control systems on shifts to eliminate product discrepancies.
- Contribute to employee feedback and developmental processes.

- Support and emphasize the Safety and Quality commitments of the department.
- Collaborate with other managers and customers to ensure quality commitments are met.
- Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules to ensure attainment of production commitments, effective labor utilization, and timely escalation of capacity constraints.
- Ensure consistency in personnel policy administration across the plant.
- Help prepare material, supply, and labor budgets and forecasts for areas of responsibility.
- Make staffing decisions and perform succession planning for key positions.
- Investigate and resolve disciplinary issues, including suspensions and terminations.
- Drive operational excellence in cost reduction, discard reduction, annual productivity improvements, inventory turnover, regulatory excellence, on-time delivery, lead time reduction, and safety improvements.
- Leadership development and fostering a continuous improvement culture based on QLP, Lean Manufacturing, total employee involvement, and DMAIC problem-solving.
- Perform analytical reviews, recommend, and implement corrective actions for any exception condition.
- Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
- Learn, understand, and apply rigorous quality standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
- Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues occur.
Requirements
- Ability to coordinate and direct manufacturing activities across multiple shifts through collaboration with shift supervisors.
- Ability to interpret and analyze statistical data, financial reports, and resolve technical difficulties.
- Knowledge of World Class manufacturing methods (QLP, Lean, Six Sigma), Good Manufacturing Practices, FDA guidelines, and process validation.
- Ability to understand verbal and written safety and quality instructions, and read and comprehend written work instructions.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and supervisors without direct authority to achieve operational objectives.
- Ability to coordinate production schedules, labor resources, and manufacturing priorities to achieve schedule attainment and customer delivery requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate priorities, expectations, and performance results across shifts and departments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and enterprise software for analyzing production data and creating reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field with 5+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; OR
- Associate's degree with 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience; OR
- High school diploma/GED with 20+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing teams in a fast-paced production environment.

Pay
The estimated base salary for this position is $88,000 - $110,000 annually. Individual pay is based upon location, skills, expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
