Manufacturing Specialist

About the Role

American Tube and Pipe is looking for an End Table Operator to assist with the manufacturing of tubes and pipes in our mill. We offer a competitive starting pay of $22.00 to $26.50/hour with a full benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Inspect table operation equipment and prepare for use.
• Adjust the bundling cart to accommodate the size and length of pipe to be run.
• Manually assist the pipe as it rolls down the end-table towards the cart.
• Observe for bows in longer length pipe and bounce pipe on table if necessary to straighten the pipe.
• As bundle is being formed, align and straighten the tube rows using the back stop.
• After bundle is completed in the rack, place bands around the bundle and tighten using the Air Bander.
• Notify forklift operator when cart needs to be emptied.
• Use the banding machine to prepare pipes for shipment and storage, including loading new coils, cutting bands, and installing crimping clamps.
• Wash used forming and sizing rolls and put into appropriate storage bin when changing out rolls.
• May be required to operate a forklift.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
• Technical Certificate: Preferred
• 1+ years of experience in manufacturing
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
• Valid driver's license issued in the employing state and good driving record
