Manufacturing Senior Associate

About the role

This position is fully onsite and requires flexibility with working hours. The role involves working in a dynamic production environment supporting development, clinical, and launch activities. Operations are performed according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with general supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hands-on operations, including the set-up, cleaning, and sanitization of various manufacturing equipment.
  • Prepare buffers and media following defined manufacturing procedures and standard operating procedures.
  • Follow GMP documents and SOPs with strict adherence to safety and compliance.
  • Monitor and perform critical processes with the ability to conduct basic troubleshooting.
  • Conduct in-process sampling of equipment and operate analytical equipment.
  • Perform washroom activities, including cleaning small and large-scale equipment used in production activities.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Work in a cleanroom environment wearing steel toe shoes, full cleanroom gowning, hairnet, and gloves.
  • Initiate quality deviation reports.
  • Draft and revise documents, including SOPs, and recommend and implement improvements related to routine functions.
  • Absorb and assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions, equipment logs, and batch records.
  • Perform activities that include periods of rigorous, repetitive work.
  • Work around high-pressure systems and occasionally around heavy equipment.
  • Available to work various shifts, including day, swing, graveyard, weekends, holidays, and as dictated by the production schedule.
  • Collaborate in teams to complete operational tasks.
  • Follow directions, documents, and policies at all times.
  • Take initiative and create a positive work environment through interactions with team members.
  • Regularly lift up to 35 lbs, push and pull objects requiring up to 50 lbs of force, and work on feet for long durations.
  • Perform physical movements such as bending, reaching, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, walking upstairs, and standing on portable stairs or ladders up to 6 feet.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma with 4 years of work experience, an Associate degree with 2 years of work experience, or a Bachelor's degree with no work experience required.
  • Ability to take direction well and follow documents and policies.
  • Strong initiative and ability to create a positive work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High school/GED with 2 years of work experience, or an Associate's degree with 6 months of work experience.
  • Proficiency in buffer preparation, media preparation, and cleanroom practices.
  • Experience in sampling and operating analytical equipment.

Work Environment

The work involves rotating 12.5-hour day shifts from 5:45 am to 6:15 pm, alternating between Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday one week and Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday the next week. Initial training will be conducted for the first 2-6 weeks, scheduled Monday to Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The role requires working in a cleanroom environment with specific attire, including steel toe shoes, full cleanroom gowning, hairnet, and gloves.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
