Location: Columbus, OH Job Type: Direct Hire Starting Salary: From $100,000/year (Higher compensation available based on experience.) Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Systems Leader to oversee quality management, compliance, and continuous improvement within an industrial manufacturing environment. This leadership role combines strategic planning with hands-on support, helping improve product quality, reduce defects, strengthen quality systems, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Approximately 70% office-based and 30% production floor involvement. Responsibilities Lead and improve the company's Quality Management System (QMS)Develop quality goals, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiativesEnsure compliance with ISO 9001, customer requirements, and industry standardsManage internal and external audits, corrective actions, document control, and change managementEstablish quality standards for sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, machining, welding, and mechanical assemblyReduce defects, scrap, rework, and customer quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actionsImplement quality reporting and performance dashboardsPartner with manufacturing, engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to improve production quality and process capabilitySupport customer audits, supplier quality programs, and supplier corrective actionsDevelop and mentor quality personnel while promoting a culture of accountability and operational excellenceMonitor key quality metrics, including customer complaints, warranty claims, audit results, scrap, and rework costs Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field10+ years of quality leadership experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience leading Quality Management Systems, compliance programs, and continuous improvement initiativesStrong knowledge of ISO 9001, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process improvement methodologiesExperience leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational changeExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with electrical equipment, power distribution equipment, switchgear, control panels, industrial equipment, or similar manufacturingFamiliarity with sheet metal fabrication, busbar fabrication, welding, machining, mechanical assembly, and custom manufacturing processesExperience supporting engineer-to-order (ETO) or configure-to-order manufacturingLean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ASQ, or related quality certificationsExperience supporting data center, utility, industrial, or mission-critical infrastructure products Benefits Direct-hire opportunityCompetitive benefits packageCareer growth and leadership development opportunitiesCollaborative manufacturing environment focused on quality and continuous improvement We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
