Job Description As a member of the Quality team, the Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading the execution of the organization’s Strategic Quality Plan, serving as the management representative for the Quality Management System, and ensuring product quality aligns with internal standards, industry standards, and customer requirements. Responsibilities Serve as the primary interface between customer and manufacturing plant Interact proactively with customers on-site as required Coordinate and resolve customer corrective and preventative quality issues Validate and verify corrective actions within production processes Coordinate sorting activities at customer plants Maintain customer KPIs and provide weekly internal reporting Update control plans and participate in process walk activities Stop processes or product delivery in case of non-conformance Support activities related to the Quality Management System Perform other duties as assigned Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical field Experience Requirements 3+ years of experience in a Quality function Experience in a manufacturing environment Strong problem-solving skills using 8D methodology Knowledge of quality tools (APQP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA) Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Understanding of quality systems (IATF16949, ISO 9001, VDA) Strong communication and analytical skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Preferred Requirements Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Equal Opportunity Employer Lear Corporation is committed to fair, merit‑based employment practices and equal opportunity.
