Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance, training, and assistance to related departments regarding quality system, Engineering Standards, and procedural specifications.
- Act as a resource on quality assurance and management issues throughout the company.
- May manage a team of Quality Control Technicians, including roles such as ISO Management Representative.
- Coordinate the implementation of the quality system, interface with registrars, and coordinate external audits.
- Review and recommend improvements and corrective/preventive actions for quality management systems.
- Manage ISO9001 internal audit system and document control system, including record retention.
- Perform supplier quality functions, support Purchasing Department in supplier selection, and provide corrective actions as needed.
- Train on quality assurance topics across the organization.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives between manufacturing and corporate operations.
- Support customer satisfaction efforts through reporting, customer audits, and corrective actions.
- Maintain warranty and RGA processes, supporting corrective and preventive actions.
- Act in accordance with TCF Core Values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Five plus years' experience in quality management and/or quality engineering.
- Familiarity with quality systems and processes such as ISO9001, SPC, FMEA, QFD, PPAP, metrology control, supplier quality, lean manufacturing, and/or six sigma methodologies.
- Strong computer skills.
- Good communications skills.
- Ability to travel 25%.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
- Standard office environment.
- Occasionally lifts up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, reaches.
- Works extended hours sitting at a computer.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, high places, fumes or airborne particles, and caustic chemicals.
- Noise level in plant environment is usually loud.
