Manufacturing Program Manager (Facility Build-Out)

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive program roadmap and detailed schedules for the factory build, identifying critical dependencies between construction, engineering, and supply chain.
  • Prepare and manage the multi-million dollar capital expenditure (CapEx) budget, tracking project costs and analyzing variances to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Lead Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) across Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Finance to ensure alignment on facility infrastructure and manufacturing design.
  • Oversee the development of equipment specifications, manage vendor relationships, and lead the final commissioning of the factory for production ramp-up.
  • Proactively identify potential project delays or risks (e.g., supply chain gaps, regulatory hurdles) and develop robust mitigation strategies.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive leadership, providing clear status reports on milestones, KPIs, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure the new facility complies with all safety, environmental, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA, cGMP, or ISO).

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing), Operations Management, or a related technical field; a Master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Experience: 7–10+ years in manufacturing program management, specifically with experience in large-scale facility expansions or new factory "greenfield" projects.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and project management tools like MS Project, Primavera, or JIRA.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams and external contractors.
  • Certification: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt is highly desirable.

Location may be subject to business needs, with potential consideration for Texas, North Carolina, or Georgia.
