Manufacturing Program Manager
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MANUFACTURING PROGRAM MANAGER
The Manufacturing Program Manager plays an essential role in ensuring the company meets client requirements and deadlines while maximizing resource efficiency. They work as the liaison between functional groups such as Operations, CNC, Design, and Engineering to support clients' needs for implementing solutions to complex problems. This position oversees specific projects, coordinating with essential personnel to ensure adherence to quality policies and customer requirements and timelines/schedules. Using good judgment, they select methods and techniques that align with project management and address any concerns. They maintain constant communication with the production team and leadership to ensure prompt awareness of changes and review of restrictions.
Work Environment
This position involves time spent on the shop floor and exposure to shop elements including noise, moving parts, dust, and fumes. It routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
Physical Demands
The physical demands of this job include occasional work in noisy and dusty spaces, climbing on and around large structures, and sitting or standing for extended periods during project peaks. The role requires the ability to pass a background check and be a U.S. citizen.
Position Type & Expected Work Hours
This is a full-time salaried position, occasionally requiring work beyond normal working hours. Travel is rarely expected for this position.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years in related field or role
- Excellent communications skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong team building and personnel skills
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
Preferred Education & Experience
- Prior experience running multidisciplinary teams for DoD programs
- Knowledge of prepreg composite manufacturing
- Experience with manufacturing machines and tools
- Experience with systems design and systems integration
