Pay & Benefits

Position offers a starting salary range of $86,000 - $110,000 USD Pay Offered Dependent On Knowledge, Skills, And experience

What You Drive

  • Direct and coordinate manpower, parts and process flow to minimize work in progress, eliminate shortages and maximize efficiency
  • Analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, other records, and reports in order to determine production requirements
  • Evaluate production requirements and outputs achieving daily rates in a linear fashion while monitoring product quality to achieve a superior quality reputation
  • Coach and hold team leaders accountable for standardized work instructions and quality adherence
  • Establish, evaluate, and communicate goals for each area
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts, then coordinating the team leaders/teams to meet these requirements
  • Maintain discipline through enforcement of company policies and regulations
  • Demonstrate equipment operations, work and safety procedures to new employees or assign employees to experienced workers/team leaders for training
  • Identify/problem solve materials, products, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions
  • Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production schedules to meet production goals
  • Maintain employee performance records
  • Respond to HR on absenteeism topics and issue discipline accordingly
  • Monitor daily and weekly overtime ensuring policy compliance while meeting or exceeding productivity requirements
  • Hold employees accountable to productivity standards on a daily basis
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances
  • Identify, improve, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, process capability, and product quality using Daimler TOS and Bosch BPS methodologies
  • Develop advanced manufacturing processes, conduct defect and failure analysis, engineering evaluations, statistical analysis and implement corrective actions to support process improvement efforts and ensure root-cause analysis translates into process improvements
  • Perform periodic process capability studies on key-value stream operations
  • Streamline manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to improve first-pass yield, reduce or eliminate rework and scrap, while consistently improving material costs and productivity
  • Execute work assignments in accordance with company standards and quality systems
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of company, safety, environmental, governmental policies, and regulations as they apply

Ability to read and create

  • Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Solid Edge for 3D modeling
  • GD&T and fulfill drafting and print control requirements

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS in Engineering (ME, EE, Mechatronics, MFG-E) or related field
  • 2 years of experience in an manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a team environment and ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management
  • Process engineering leadership and mentorship skills are a must
  • Broad knowledge of production planning processes
  • Organizational skills and ability to effectively coach and mentor employees
  • Expertise in engineering principles to perform comprehensive line troubleshooting
  • Able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, management teams, and customers
  • Ability to prioritize tasks given, organize and summarize information communicated with stakeholders and provide potential impacts and alternatives
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Demonstrates a continuous improvement mindset and commitment to operational excellence
