Manufacturing Production Manager

About the role

Manages and coordinates all production activities, operations, and staff to ensure conformance to established procedures; implements practices that maximize production efforts to improve the overall effectiveness and financial performance of the production function. This position is fully on site in Huntington Beach, CA.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, modifies, and implements efficient and effective department processes, policies, and procedures
• Manages the capacity of the manufacturing processes
• Responsible for maintaining the production job schedule
• Maintains knowledge of machine capacity and develops solutions for efficient utilization
• Interfaces with maintenance and/or engineering to ensure all equipment is maintained in top condition
• Troubleshoots and solves manufacturing problems, involving other departments and/or personnel as needed
• Interfaces with Quality department to ensure highest degree of final quality and develop new and better-quality methods
• Ensures approved manufacturing methodology is being followed
• Implements lean standards and improvements
• Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement
