About the Role
Scot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications worldwide. We have locations in Spring Grove, IL, Clinton, WI, and Franklin Park, IL. Openings are available for 2nd shift positions with a 10% shift premium.
- 4:00 pm - 4:00 am: CNC Set up Machinist, Quality Control / Non Destructive Testing
- 4:00 pm - 3:00 am: Saw Operator
- 1:00 pm - 12:00 am: Maintenance / Furnace Tech
- 3:00 pm - 2:00 am: Maintenance / Machine Repair
- 7:00 pm - 6:00 am: Building Maintenance
- 7:00 pm - 6:00 am: Forge Utility Worker
- 5:00 pm - 5:00 am: Heat Treat (4 days on and 4 days off)
- 2:00 pm - 2:00 am: Quality Control / Non Destructive Testing
Scot Forge performs a hair follicle drug screen, lift test up to 65 lbs., and background check.
Responsibilities
- Operating heavy industrial equipment (saws, CNCs, furnaces, presses)
- Operating overhead cranes
- Driving forklifts
- Actively participating in safe work practices
Requirements
Minimal Skills
- Strong math and computer skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- Hand tools experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Skills
- Use of micrometer, caliper, and tape measure
- Machine set up and operation
- Blueprint reading
- Forklift operation
- Crane rigging and operation
- Prior manufacturing experience
