Manufacturing Product Engineer

About the role

As a Manufacturing Production Engineer at Texas Instruments (TI), you will manage new product introduction and production support engineering for a specific product or group of products after they have been transferred from design to in-house or outsourced production. You will interface with design, process, test, reliability, and manufacturing engineering to solve product issues and production problems, as well as develop process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production issues at the test floor and wafer probe, including low yield analysis and disposition, and setup failure debug/analysis and resolution (both hardware and software).
• Provide detailed analytical studies on production issues and liaise with business units' product engineering teams for improvements (test program, hardware, setup, etc.).
• Engage in productivity improvement projects, such as yield improvement, test time reduction, test insertion removal, and legacy tester conversion.
• Support new product release from the development site, performing vigorous buyoff for new test systems (program/hardware) per manufacturing requirements.
• Lead and support the introduction of new tools, equipment, and test processes to manufacturing from new product releases, including qualification and change management approval within TI Electronic Marketing (TIEM).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Product Engineer within the Semiconductor Industry.

Skills

• Experience with wafer fabrication (preferred).
• Experience with device physics (preferred).
• Experience with circuit analysis (preferred).
• Experience with data analysis (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
