Update Sterling Stamping and Warren Stamping Layouts in AutoCAD
- Ensure the material in all sub assembly work cells match the CAD layout for all current programs
- Ensure storage locations for all material match the CAD layout
- Develop lineside material layout for all future model sub assembly cells
- Work closely with Plant Facilities and Stamping Process Engineers to ensure the latest Cell layouts are reflected accurately with the Material CAD layout
- Avoid any unnecessary changes to the CAD layout
Maintain the Plan For Every Part (PFEP)
- Updated on a weekly or as needed basis
- Provide all relevant data (Value Stream) to Plant Industrial Engineers to determine manpower assessments for new model programs
Perform Material Flow Analysis
- Manpower, Dock, and Storage Analysis for current and future programs
- Deliverables: Provide all relevant data (Value Stream) to Plant Industrial Engineers to determine manpower assessments for new model programs
Data Management
- Maintain and ensure all relevant Data in PFEP (Plan for Every Part) is up to date utilizing *** systems (i.e. eBom, Crates…)
- Compare Space Available to Space Required for current and future models
- Compare Dock Capacity to Requirements for current and future models
- Provide all relevant data (Value Stream) to Plant Industrial Engineers to determine manpower assessments for new model programs
Other Duties
- Identify required Material Handling Equipment for all new model parts
- Make sure all equipment on the layouts is up to standard and appropriate for its application
- Make sure GFRs are sized correctly
- Work with Stamping Process Engineer (SPE) to make sure the correct parts are in the station in the correct order and that the arrangement of the parts in the station satisfies all parties
- Work with the Safety/Ergo Team to ensure compliance with the Latest Safety/Ergo Documents
- Be a proactive member of the launch process for MLM Station Readiness, Material Flow and F&E
- Prepare list of opportunities for manpower and storage improvements
KPIs
- 100% of the sub assembly workstations bought off by all Plant and SPE personnel for lineside material for new model programs
- Station to be bought off from an IE/WO and Safety/Ergo standpoint
- Equipment is to be correct from a Packaging and Material Flow (proper lineside quantity to support delivery and WCM) standpoint
- Perform Material Flow Analysis for 100% of all New Model Parts
Skills Required
- AutoCAD
- Understanding of the Stamping Plant Processes
- MS Office (particularly Excel and Access)
- ODCICS2 (Engineering & EBOM screens)
- Working Knowledge of ergonomics and its application
- Experience in team-based environment
- Professionalism
- Understanding that the Launch Environment is dynamic and sometimes chaotic and therefore Plans of Record are subject to change at any time
- For station changes during production and not downtime, the Lead will work with production members and their team leaders to make sure that the installations or changes are understood and accepted prior to, during and after the changes are made
- Excellent oral presentation skills
Travel
- Will need to drive back and forth from Sterling to Warren a couple times a week.
- 3 days at Sterling. 2 days at Warren.
