Manufacturing Process Engineer (Industrial Engineer) Spring 2027 Co-op

Responsibilities

• Aid in executing projects aimed at enhancing safety and lowering product manufacturing expenses.
• Conduct time studies to establish manufacturing costs (labor routings).
• Create, maintain, and implement process standards and manufacturing documentation (Operational Method Sheets, work instructions, value stream maps, etc.).
• Evaluate Bill of Materials for inaccuracies and production consumption discrepancies, identify root causes, and suggest corrective measures.
• Lead 6S organization projects and present outcomes to cross-functional teams.
• Promote behavior-based safety across all plant operations and identify opportunities to enhance workplace ergonomics.
• Take part in daily communication meetings and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate with supervisors, factory managers, engineers, and production associates.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related Engineering discipline from an ABET accredited program.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interview others to gather information.
• Capacity to handle multiple tasks, resolve technical issues, oversee small projects, and collaborate effectively within diverse teams.
• Exceptional writing, presenting, and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and analytical problem-solving skills.
