Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer II
About the role
The Manufacturing Engineer II – Assembly is responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing robust manufacturing assembly processes that improve safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity. This position requires a highly analytical engineer with a strong background in data-driven process development, statistical analysis, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead process development initiatives
- Improve process capability through scientific experimentation
- Implement capital equipment
- Support new product introductions
- Drive continuous improvement across assembly operations within a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of manufacturing engineering experience supporting complex assembly operations
- Experience with DOE, OFAT, Cp/Cpk, SPC, MSA/Gage R&R, and Process Validation
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement knowledge
- Experience leading capital equipment implementation projects
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; Black Belt is an advantage
- Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments
- Experience within aerospace, defense, marine, medical device, or other regulated industries
- Experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 or similar QMS
- Experience implementing automated assembly systems
- Experience supporting NPI and product transfers

Compensation
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $90,300 - 112,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
