About the role

This position is located in Henderson, NC and involves various tasks related to manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve the proper feed materials.
  • Complete all paperwork and/or computer entry correctly and fully.
  • Clean all the equipment: powder hoppers, mixing equipment, blenders, hand tools, and material handling equipment.
  • Insure clean and safe workplace.
  • Set the mill timer for the prescribed milling time and the start and stop times must be recorded.
  • Sample the mill safely, with care that the sample represents the population.
  • Takes the sample to the lab and enters the data in the spreadsheet.
  • Maintain the dryer temperatures, pressures, flows, atmospheres, and record keeping.
  • Make labels and place them on the appropriate powder containers.
  • Clean all the equipment: powder hoppers, ball mills, screener, cooling unit, spray dryer, vacuum dryer, hand tools, and material handling equipment.
  • Absorb and apply training on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Absorb and apply training on quality control procedures.
  • Absorb and apply training on environmental health and safety practices.
  • Absorb and apply training on basic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Absorb and apply training on reading and understanding work instructions, safety warnings, batch sheets, and operating instructions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
  • Must be able to safely lift at least 33 pounds.
  • Successfully pass the tow motor driving test.
  • Ability to perform basic trouble shooting on the equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand work instructions, safety warning, batch sheets, and operating instructions with minimum direction.

  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.

  • Physical strength to lift and move heavy objects.
  • Basic knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot simple equipment issues.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule

The shift is typically Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.
