About the Role
As the Booster Manufacturing Operator, you will efficiently set up, fill, inspect, and package all Cast Booster products. The operator will ensure safe and timely processing of PETN to meet booster operations demand while adhering to plant and site-specific safety rules and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Manufacture a quality Booster product.
- Properly stock manufacturing areas and prepare product for shipping.
- Set up canisters on specific tooling, pour hot pentolite into canisters, and move carts into cooling tunnels.
- Perform melt-down process of transferring melted TNT/Triton from the pre-melter into main pots.
- Add PETN to main pots per specific formulations and monitor the process according to Standard Operating Procedures.
- Load empty plastic or corrugated canisters onto pallets.
- Clean and pack finished product into corrugated boxes for shipping.
- Stamp canisters as required.
- Drive a van/box truck to transport product, prepare, operate, and unload a centrifuge.
- Complete proper documentation and balances while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Promote implementation of industry best practices, pursue waste elimination, and support manufacturing initiatives.
- Focus on improving safety and quality while minimizing impact to current production.
- Actively participate in problem-solving safety issues and improving machine uptime in partnership with Maintenance.
- Demonstrate and/or lead commitment to achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (manufacturing experience preferred—on-the-job training provided).
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, bend, and walk throughout the entire shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 58 lbs. and push/pull 83 lbs.
- Ability to wear and care for applicable personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses, shoes, respirator, face shield, Tyvec, sleeves, gloves, coveralls, safety harness) as required by site-specific rules.

Pay
Starting pay is $26.75 an hour.
Schedule
Two shifts available: 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM.
