What You Will Do
- Supervise daily manufacturing operations, including shop floor activities, workforce management, and production flow to ensure safety, quality, and delivery objectives are achieved.
- Lead and coach production employees by assigning work, setting priorities, monitoring performance, and fostering employee development.
- Cookordinate production schedules, staffing, and workflow to meet customer commitments and maximize operational efficiency.
- Monitor production metrics, identify performance gaps, and implement corrective actions to improve productivity and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards by verifying documentation, supporting audits, and driving corrective and preventive actions.
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to resolve production and material issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, cost reduction efforts, and manufacturing process enhancements to improve operational performance.
- Coordinate material availability and logistics activities to minimize production disruptions and maintain manufacturing schedules.
- Drive a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and environmental, health, and safety standards.
- Interface with internal and external customers to resolve operational issues and ensure exceptional service and on-time delivery.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
- Previous supervisory experience in manufacturing operations or a similar production environment.
- Experience with production planning, workforce scheduling, and shop floor management.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
- Experience supporting quality systems and manufacturing process improvements.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing industries.
