Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Leader (Supply Chain) to join their team in Bedford, IN.

About the role

As part of the Operations & Manufacturing Department, you will support production teams, Group Leaders, and hourly employees across a high-volume manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and the ability to build collaborative relationships that drive operational excellence.

• Lead daily manufacturing and supply chain operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Group Leaders and hourly employees while fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, waste reduction, and process optimization.
• Support production launches, pilot programs, and implementation of standardized operating procedures.
• Collaborate with operations, quality, and safety teams to resolve issues and ensure consistent operational performance.

Requirements

• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing, production, operations, or supply chain environment.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
• Experience coaching, developing, and managing hourly employees and front-line leaders.
• Ability to manage production schedules, quality targets, safety metrics, and cost objectives simultaneously.
• Experience in an automotive or unionized manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
