Key Responsibilities
- Cook up communication between Scheduling and internal departments to align production priorities.
- Confirm material availability to support production schedules and preemptively spot shortages or risks.
- Collaborate with Schedulers and suppliers to expedite or delay material deliveries as necessary.
- Communicate priority raw materials, batches, and finished goods needing testing or release to Laboratory and Compounding teams.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Partner with Client Services to handle date change requests due to material shortages or shifting customer priorities.
- Maintain watchful eye on process order shortages, collaborating with Production to resolve issues and ensure accurate OTIF (On Time In Full) reporting.
- Release production process orders as directed by Scheduling and Supply Chain leadership.
- Prepare production packets and distribute them to Production teams.
- Coordinate material receipts and releases to support timely production order creation.
- Provide scheduling support and backup coverage as needed.
- Maintain production planning documentation, S&OP files, SOPs, WIs, and other required documents.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in supply chain planning, production planning, or materials planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
