Position Responsibilities
- Leads, develops, and motivates employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines
- Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies
- Promote employee engagement and build an organizational culture that fosters safety and quality performance, improves employee satisfaction and retains and develops a skilled and motivated workforce
- Forecasts resource needs, obtains and manages personnel, facilities, equipment, and training and tools to meet operating requirements
- Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and upholds relationships and partnerships with customers, collaborators, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- 1+ years of experience applying continuous improvement tools and techniques
- Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course "Exploring Leadership."
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- 3+ years of experience working within a cross-functional organizational environment
- 1+ years of experience managing Key Performance Indicators within Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Compliance and Manufacturing data
- 1+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
- 1+ years of experience using Quality Management System (QMS) and/or Boeing Production System (BPS)
- 1+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
