About the role
The Facilities Operations Manager oversees manufacturing activities in the plant, driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational metrics. They lead cross-functional teams, mentor staff, and encourage problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Manufacturing management responsibility of all production activities in the plant
- Accountable for driving continuous improvement in safety, quality, and other key operational metrics
- Develops and mentors all levels of the production supervision staff
- Drives operator engagement throughout the facility and encourages problem solving at all levels of the organization
- Owns production line output and develops execution & continuous improvement strategies to achieve high production rates
- Encourages plantwide participation in continuous improvement suggestion activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Engineering, Operations Management, or Business Administration
- (7) seven years of experience in managing Manufacturing and/or Technical Services in a private, public, government or military environment
- (5) five years' experience in a supervisory role
Qualifications
- Additional qualifications that could help include (5) five years’ experience in medical devices or related industry
