How You’ll Make an Impact
- Lead daily manufacturing operations through supervisors and team leads, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets
- Establish and sustain standardized manufacturing processes, including SOPs, training programs, and safety procedures to ensure consistent and compliant execution
- Drive operational excellence initiatives, including continuous improvement efforts, root cause analysis, and CAPA processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues
- Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other functions to address operational challenges and support business objectives
- Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, equipment, and systems to enhance safety, efficiency, capacity, and product quality
- Develop and lead a high-performing manufacturing team through hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and employee development
- Ensure all personnel are properly trained and qualified to perform work in accordance with regulatory, safety, and quality requirements
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance, identify risks, and drive data-based decision making
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement through disciplined problem-solving methodologies
- Drive initiatives focused on cost control, waste reduction, on-time-in-full delivery, and overall plant performance
- Provide leadership in employee relations by fostering clear communication, consistent expectations, and engagement across the workforce
- Maintain accountability for production cost, product quality, workplace safety, and customer delivery performance
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical, or related)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, including supervisory or management roles
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to drive performance, accountability, and results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Strong background in:
- Manufacturing operations management
- Root cause analysis and structured problem solving
- Continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, or highly regulated manufacturing environments
- Knowledge of:
- ISO 13485:2016
- FDA 21 CFR Part 820
- Experience with ERP, MES, and EQMS systems
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing
- Background in custom silicone manufacturing
