Manufacturing Manager
About the role
The Manufacturing Manager oversees the manufacturing team and processes, focusing on safety, productivity, housekeeping, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and people systems. They are responsible for developing and achieving the manufacturing business plan and ensuring the manufacturing operation's cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, coordination, and competencies that guide the manufacturing team and processes in areas such as safety, productivity, housekeeping, customer satisfaction, cost effectiveness, and people systems.
- Promote continuous improvement and the use of reliable methods within the manufacturing organization.
- Develop and achieve the manufacturing business plan and ensure the manufacturing operation's cost-effectiveness.
- Monitor and direct the performance of all manufacturing activities, including throughput, cost and waste control, maintenance, quality, inventories control, and meeting budgeted production metrics.
- Implement and maintain systems to drive manufacturing improvements.
- Lead, coach, motivate, and engage work teams to accomplish operational objectives.
- Ensure that all management, manufacturing, maintenance, and human resources systems are current and effectively utilized, and improved where possible.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with EPA regulations.
- Actively involved in the development of employees through training, coaching, and performance review feedback.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- At least 5 years of industry experience.
- In-depth knowledge of corrugated packaging manufacturing processes and technology.

Pay
$118,400 - $157,800 per year, variable pay may provide additional opportunities for financial awards. This job is eligible to participate in IP’s annual incentive plan.
