About the role
Join our dynamic team supporting Tru Fru manufacturing within our Salt Lake City facility. This is a NIGHT shift position (2-2-3 schedule) requiring a 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime.
Responsibilities
- Installed, and/or troubleshoot and repair Manufacturing equipment such as: assembly, conveyors, forming, mixing (Oven operations is a plus).
- Follows work instructions and OSHA safety rules, including the use of all PPE and other safety equipment in an industrial environment.
- Diagnose problems, replace and repair parts, detect and replace defective items, test and make final adjustments for high-speed production equipment.
- Diagnose and repair all electrical functions.
- Prioritize and triage in a fast-paced work environment.
- Maintain equipment in accordance with diagrams and manufactures specifications while following preventative maintenance work orders and scheduled PM’s.
- Generate work orders, and parts request.
- Complete work orders and PMs and the documentation for that work.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissors lifts, and other appropriate equipment.
- Complete knowledge of all tools required for industrial maintenance, including those used to broach, mill, and lathe.
- Communicate and understand safety issues, including reading the information on safety equipment and relaying relevant information to coworkers.
- Identify and understand all different lubricants and their use for a chain lube to a high-performance synthetic lube.
- Understand pneumatic and water systems.
- Use soldering techniques.
- Read electrical schematics.
- Identify appropriate motor frame, power load, and amp draw.
- Have a basic knowledge of control power and main power.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience working in the food manufacturing industry.
- 4 years of experience working as an experienced level maintenance mechanic.
- PLC experience is a plus.
- Able to work rotation 12-hour shift including weekends and some overtime and occasionally.
- Able to follow manufacturing specifications and schematics.
- Complete knowledge of the manufacturing process, typically resulting from a minimum of five years’ experience in related jobs.
