Manufacturing Inspector I

About the role
This temporary, onsite assignment is an integral part of the team, working closely with the manufacturing team to ensure the highest quality products and service to customers. You’ll inspect parts, assemblies, raw materials, and finishes while gaining experience in leadership and communication.
Responsibilities
- Inspect various aviation parts and assemblies under supervision, using equipment and testing instruments as required.
- Work from blueprints, diagrams, and engineering orders to verify compliance to design.
- Approve and reject manufacturing work based on required standards, communicating status and details to manufacturing and engineering.
- Fully adhere to work instructions, policies, procedures, and processes.
- Complete required documentation under supervision.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED with 0-1 years of relevant experience.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to use basic measuring equipment such as scales, calipers, and tape measures.
- Understanding of basic blueprints and manufacturing drawings.
- Ability to perform entry-level inspections in assigned area.
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods (up to the duration of shift) and perform physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, sitting, and carrying items throughout the day.
- Ability to wear all required protective equipment (e.g., protective gloves, safety glasses).
- Ability to work amidst mild chemical odors (e.g., lacquer thinner, proseal, adhesives) and in environments with exposure to chemicals, dust, odors, and machine heat cycles.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a regular basis.
Pay
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour.
Schedule
1st Shift (06:00 AM - 03:30 PM), 12-month temporary assignment.
