About the Role

Team Member is responsible for all frame fabrication (e.g., cutter, strip line, hitch or UD, finish, and landing gear). Day-to-day frames may vary based on schedules and blueprints provided. Required to follow safety and quality regulations established by Lippert.

Responsibilities

  • Welding crossmembers and outriggers
  • Squaring the Frame and squaring/welding the pin boxes
  • Welding the bumper and hitches on
  • Mounting or setting the Upper Deck and welding the UD
  • Applying camber to the frame, checking camber and square
  • Installing and timing Slide outs
  • Marking the rails for holes, slide outs, axels, beaver tails, etc.
  • Blowing the holes in the main rails and plasma cutting any holes needed
  • Welding axel hangers on and welding brackets for jacks and slide outs
  • Cutting and welding the beaver tail
  • Transferring the rails to a storage rack
  • Welding draw bars
  • Welding coupler and safety chains
  • Check square on A-Frame
  • Welding different structural shapes (e.g., tube to plate), and anything that jig was unable to weld
  • Getting a cut list in order
  • Calling for material
  • Prepping material to be cut, and then cutting it
  • Organizing material in racks
  • Install and weld landing gear/brackets
  • Welding bottom pan
  • Welding LP trays and battery boxes
  • Finishing holes in the upper deck
  • Scans finished frames into computer

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Manufacturing/industry experience
  • Welding education or experience preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Regularly required to talk and hear
  • Very active position requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day
  • May have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Schedule

This is a full-time hourly position. Hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
