Manufacturing Facility Security Officer

About the role

Securitas USA plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel
• Actively monitor premises, including patrolling a variety of locations
• Preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area
• Provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers
• Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain
• Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds

Requirements

• Valid Ohio driver’s license
• Driver certification required
• Ability to complete patrols
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards
• Physical ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, walking on inclines and uneven terrain, frequent lifting up to 10 lbs, occasional lifting up to 25 lbs

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Strong technology skills (cell phone/computer)
• Prior security or customer service experience a plus
• No experience necessary; retail, food service, or hospitality industry background a great fit
• Training provided for a great introduction to a career in the security industry
