Summary
This position will lead small to mid-level Projects with Management Support and Direction. This position has the workload of weeks to months at your desk designing custom Equipment to daily job on-site. Management of Contractor Force for Installation or physically handling the installation yourself. The role must conform to ability to handle both aspects as a requirement.
Responsibilities
- Lead moderate size and or support large-scale projects from initial conception through completion including Equipment Design to Mechanical & Fluid Process Engineering for Designing New Processes and modification to new and old converting/test equipment for the use in media and membrane manufacturing while generating and maintaining detailed budgets and timelines, which includes all pertinent information related to specific projects assigned
- Supervise contractors (civil, plumbing, electrical and mechanical contractors) and coordinate mechanical assembly of Your Designs or Designs by Advanced Engineering Group while also having a Hands-On Engineering Approach where, as applicable, you will assemble your Design, Install and Qualify
- Characterize manufacturing processes and materials to identify and understand critical process drivers and establish appropriate controls for these process drivers
- Develop and lead qualification efforts for changes in manufacturing processes, changes in raw materials, and introduction of new products into production
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with Basic knowledge in the converting and or process industry with a strong background in mechanical, electrical or chemical engineering for chemical/polymer processing equipment, and/or fluid handling
- Standard to Highly Experienced Knowledge in general Hand Tools, Power Tools and working on Machinery/Equipment (Mechanically Inclined preferred)
- Intermediate to Medium Knowledge in Machining Processes to understand feasible Design Applications
- Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations and principles in a regulatory environment(OSHA)
- Ability to lead and/or contribute to programs which will encompass a variety of cross-functional technical engineering disciplines utilizing in-house as well as outside Engineering resources
Skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office, AutoCad, Minitab, or other commonly used technical software with a High Level of Proficiency in 3D CAD Software (Inventor, SolidWorks, Catia, Pro-E, Revit or alike)
