Manufacturing Equip Maint Technician

Job Purpose

Responsible for the maintenance and operation of surface mount, wave soldering, selective wave soldering and other manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up, repair, operation, preventative maintenance and adjustment of Fuji and ASM SMT equipment as well as Wave and Selective Soldering Equipment.
• Maintains equipment to meet company standards.
• Monitors and maintains equipment to meet company standards.
• Completes documentation for equipment and area.
• Able to work with little instruction and take constructive criticism.
• Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• Experience with tooling development as well as manual machinist work is a plus.
• Must be a team player and be willing to work overtime when needed.

Nature of Duties

Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Strong working knowledge of Siemens and Fuji SMT machines, Wave and Selective Soldering equipment or other related experience. Must be able to lift a minimum of 100lbs. Has good troubleshooting and problem solving skills with electrical, mechanical and pneumatic problems. Required to be self-sufficient and resolve issues without assistance. Ability to interface professionally and effectively with peers, operators and managers. Must be a team player.

Education/Experience

• 2 year Technical Degree preferred but not required.
• 1-2 years Technician experience
